Granite Falls fall color in the gorge.

November 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Granite Falls gorge picture view of the gorge looking downstream west of the main falls and spillway.

The falls are a short distance north of the main part of the town Granite Falls on the Mountain Loop Highway.   The falls are a great stop on a drive into the Cascades on the way to Verlot, Silverton, Barlow Pass, Monte Cristo or all the way to Darrington Washington.

Park alongside the main road just before you reach the bridge that crosses the South Fork of the Stilliguamish River.  The walk is a short distance down hill to the main spillway area.

This stop and walk is great all year round.
